Client Stories

This page will be home to a collection of case studies from my ADHD coaching clients

Sabah, 27

Sabah came to me as she was in need of someone to help her organise her life and her thoughts, as not being on top of these things was giving her anxiety.

Additionally, she had two goals - one for the short and one for the long term. Her short term goal was to return back to university to finish her Art Therapy studies which she had to abandon due to overall overwhelm. Her long term goal is to build her own business that will enable her to live out another one of her passions, in this case working with flowers.

Having assessed and listened to everything that Sabah had told me, our first session focused on looking at her ADHD strengths. This exercise helped us to realise that she truly would flourish by achieving both her short and long term goals, which helped provide any tasks associated with these with purpose. We then moved onto look into her “Saboteurs” which are those sabotaging characteristics that everyone has, not just those with ADHD! The purpose of this was to make her more self aware of the moments in which she was applying these and standing in her own way.

I then suggested that our next session should be about Impulsivity / Focus. It’s an exercise that I have done with every one of my clients and it is incredibly effective, it helps to break down goals into smaller steps with associated timeframes. This helps to stop ADHDers from wanting to jump from A to Z without doing the letters in between and helps them focus on what’s important and not jump from A to 5, 5 to V, V to 36…you get it! This exercise was then our “guide” for every session following this.

We of course also did other exercises as and when other symptoms popped up, but we always returned to what was important to her.

And I am so proud and pleased to say that Sabah absolutely smashed her tasks and given timeframes. She has enrolled back into uni as well as launched her side hustle! Not only this, she has also changed behaviours that have eased her overwhelm considerably so much so that friends have noticed.

GO SABAH!!!

*One thing worth mentioning is that the exercises are part of the Executive Functioning Framework taught to me by ADHD Works. And…they truly work!

“Working with Fran has totally reignited a fire in my belly and motivation to achieve my goals. Not only this, but she is so understanding and patient which has made me feel so comforted and in turn help increase my productivity generally. I couldn't recommend enough!”

Bianca,40

Bianca wanted ADHD coaching as she had been late diagnosed, finding her feet and getting to grips with the acceptance that a diagnosis can bring.

To start off our sessions we went through a rating scale as to which ADHD Executive Functioning skills she was struggling with the most, resulting in her rating almost every one of them as “always”. This clearly established that we needed to analyse all of them and tackle them one by one. I won’t go into each and every one, but will outline the most significant ones.

As part of this an important step (it is for most clients!) was to look at her “Saboteurs”, the habitual mind patterns that keep showing up and throwing obstacles in her path. It came as no surprise that the ones she scored highly on, were in line with what I’d seen from other people with ADHD. Having discussed these in detail, we were able to increase self awareness for the instances in which these would come up and hinder her.

Along with this self awareness, we needed to increase acceptance with every single session. Accepting the diagnosis and the “right” to seek and need help as well as the grief that comes with the years of not receiving the empathy and support she deserved.

Her lack of remembering things and appointments was up next, we needed to find a system that worked for her that wasn’t made up of 8 different things that altogether become overwhelming and absolutely something the ADHD brain wants to avoid. Realising she didn’t have to do everything to solve this was a relief in itself.

Distractions and side projects oftentimes meant she’d start many “projects” without the ability to complete them. So together we put a structure in place that zoned into those things she should actually focus on whilst allocating daily or weekly windows of time to working on these.

Bianca was my very first client session following my training and assessment, and her trust in me along with her dedication made for a recipe of a transformation I was lucky enough to be a part of and witness!

Well done for investing and looking after YOU, Bianca!

"Working with Fran has been nothing short of life changing. As someone in the creative industries, I’ve always struggled with the unique challenges that come with ADHD. From the moment I started coaching with Fran at Creative Minds Coaching, I felt a sense of relief and empowerment. Fran doesn’t just see ADHD she sees the full spectrum of my potential. She’s given me the tools and strategies to harness my creativity.

What makes Fran truly stand out is her work as a trailblaser and advocate for the neurodiverse community, especially within the creative industries. She understands how we think, how we process, and how we can thrive when given the right support. Fran’s coaching is specifically tailored to the needs of creative professionals, recognising that our brains work differently. She’s shown me how to embrace my neurodiversity and use it to fuel my creative flow, rather than feeling overwhelmed by it.

Fran is also an incredible advocate for neurodivergent individuals in creative fields. She’s working to create a space where we are celebrated for our unique perspectives. She is not only coaching but actively working to change the landscape of the creative industries for neurodiverse individuals. Thanks to Fran, I’m more organized, productive, and confident in my work. She’s not only helped me overcome challenges, but she’s also inspired me to embrace my neurodivergent brain as one of my greatest assets.”
